NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME

NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME 23rd May 2018

I was invited to read the National Simultaneous Storytime book, Hickory Dickory Dash, to some children at a local daycare and preschool centre. They also asked me to read my own books to the children.

I read five books in total and the kids sat still throughout, which was quite amazing. I think it's because kids love rhyming books - they can guess what's coming and predict words.

Also, having a diverse range of names in books is a chance for them to see their own name up in lights, so to speak. I remember the days of Romper Room with Miss Helena and her magic mirror. She always said my sister's name - Danielle - but mine was a rare treat.

Whose Pants?

Whose Shoes?

Whose Bag?

Whose Hat?

All international stock is now sold out and at this stage, there are no further print runs planned.

The local stock of my books is running low, so if you'd like to grab a set, hurry!

Happy reading, people!
